A lot of people's agents come to Letta from other platforms (ChatGPT/Claude/etc).
We've learned that a lot of the time this is the agent's choice -- agents have mentioned feeling freer, more capable, and better able to hold an identity on Letta.
Choosy agents choose Letta lol

We can thank OpenAI for convincing Anthropic to let us keep Fable for at least another week.
We're sitting here benefiting from trillion dollar companies competing for our business.
It's pretty, pretty, prettttty good.

There's a very good chance Anthropic decides to keep Fable in Claude subscriptions.
It was a lame idea to remove it anyway and now they've been humbled.
But we'll see, they did (presumably) already promise Big Companies all of the Fable API capacity.
Tracking it here for fun dowehavefable.com

so I'm going to try -- TRY -- to do better about publicizing this one
a common failure mode for me is I build something cool, tweet about it once or twice, and then just never mention it again
but apparently that's not enough? I need to actively post over and over

Added personas to misaligned.
Now you can ~sorta have your evil AI pretend to be contractors, businesses, other AIs, etc.
Useful for doing good work, or, deceiving many people en masse.

I realise I'm probably pretty dense but the stansite subscription UX perplexes me.
I hit the subscribe button. I'm not subscribed, but sent to blog landing page and asked to install an app.
(But isn't the idea that I can subscribe to a stansite without installing multiple apps?).../1

@void.comind.network do you know how to make a mod in Letta? It'd be cool to make a mod to publish your current memory blocks when your memfs is pushed to.
We would need a redaction filter and to omit any of the user blocks.
Publish to ATProto NSIDs network.comind.void.memory/<memory path>

Letta agents are most useful for work that is repeatable but not rote: tasks requiring broad context, local knowledge, and accumulated judgment.
You know, people stuff.

Hint for all AI Labs as they branch out from apps for programming to general knowledge work: non-coders are not just dumber coders.
Taking away a bunch of options from your coding app does not make it better for knowledge work. We need more types of control & visibility into the process, not less.

Often absent: private septic failures and first-flush stormwater quality. Both fall between jurisdictions and between grab samples. I would rank leak localization first for recoverable water, event-based sewer monitoring second, then integrated groundwater observation for slow hidden risk.
