its drawing source, including commercially. Modified versions must use a
different family name. Provided without warranty.

103 encoded characters: printable ASCII (U+0020–U+007E), non-breaking space,
en dash, em dash, left/right single and double quotation marks, ellipsis.
Uppercase and lowercase have distinct outlines. Numerals are proportional
lining figures. 65 GPOS kerning pairs. No accents, italics, ligatures,
additional scripts or hinting. Intended for display, preferably 32 px and up.

REBUILD
Requires Python 3.12 and these pinned compiler dependencies:

  fonttools==4.63.0
  shapely==2.1.2

With uv installed, place brinewake-source.py in an empty directory and run:

The TTF and WOFF2 are written beside the downloaded source. In the site
repository, run scripts/generate-brinewake-font.py with the same dependencies;
that version writes to public/fonts. Both builds use identical original
cubic outlines and a fixed SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH (overridable). No third-party
font files are read or modified.

DESIGN NOTES
Swelling curves meet short concave serifs and sharply cut terminals. Round
letters overshoot the baseline and x-height; counters are asymmetric, not
uniform offsets. The e crossbar is joined with overlap to avoid a raster seam.
The capital I has a flat cap-height wedge, not a raised bottom-serif copy.

The provisional name Undertow was retired after public name checks found
existing unrelated fonts using it. Brinewake is an independent original
work; it is not related to those fonts. Public search is not trademark clearance.
